The Ives Family

Bill Ives, plaster by trade, was born in Swansea Wales in 1936. He lived many years in England, during which time he was in the military, which is where he began riding in the "Wooden Wall of Death". He has passed on his love for riding to his sons and grandchildren. Cody's Poppa is there to give his support and help whenever he can. He and his wife Barb, travel with the team, helping in setting up the Globe of Death and taking it down, making sure everything is safely prepared.

Shawn Ives started his training at the Sailor Circus School in Sarasota, Florida at 8 years old. He has traveled all over the world as a tight rope walker and Riding the Horses. He traveled with the Clyde Beaty Circus that tours the US and Canada. In Monte Carlo he was with the Circus Festival. The Circus Flic Flac took him to Switzerland, Germany and Austria. He also performed with the Circus Madrono in Israel.

Shawn and Tanya Ives Met in Middle school, married in 1986 and have been a team ever since. At 21 years old Tanya and Shawn started with the Tarzan Zerbini Circus. Where Tanya rode the elephants and Shawn walked the tight wire. Here Shawn was introduced to the Globe of Death. He started practicing in the globe and has been performing the challenging feat ever since. When they had children they also started riding. Cody has been on a motorcycle since he was old enough to hang into the handlebars. His sister Danielle also loves to ride and Cody's younger brother Kyle is now an active and very talented part of the team specializing in freestyle motorcycle stunts..

 Even though the Ives Life involves a lot of travel they still take their vacations to let loose and have great Family Time
